Newspapers revamp websites
July 23, 2008
Web User

Telegraphpm Traditionally, high summer is silly season for the press. However, as well as publishing frivolous news stories, some of the UK's biggest newspapers have been unveiling new-look websites.

Britain's best-selling broadsheet, the Daily Telegraph, unveiled its revamped website today following six months of preparation.

Clearer navigation as well as an emphasis on organisation and more white space have been emphasised in the new site.

It's not a massive change, as Telegraph Media Group digital editor Ed Roussel announced last week. If anything the changes are subtle and the overall redesign isn't too far off a WordPress blog template.

The Mirror.co.uk, has ushered in stage one of a major redesign. The new site is more in line with the print edition and there is a bigger emphasis on pictures.

Other sites to undergo changes include the Sun Online which revamped its homepage, and the guardian.co.uk which is revamping several of its sections.
