Mobiles offer Rubik's puzzle
June 11, 2004
Veronique De Freitas

Rubik Those of you that never quite mastered the fiddly art of the Rubik's Cube can give it another shot with the launch of O2's new retro mobile games.

O2's twentieth century version of the toy that kept millions stumped back in the 80s features innovative wall reflections to reveal the hidden sides and true 3D rotation to mirror its ancestor accurately.

In addition to Rubik's Cube, O2 has added other retro games for your mobile, including Space Invaders, the famous Pac Man and Tetris.

O2 games cost from £1.50 to £5 each to download and according to the company, once you download a game you can play it as many times as you like.

Simon Dean, head of games for O2, said: "Eighties memorabilia is everywhere at the moment. With the growing craze for mobile gaming, O2 is combining the two trends to bring retro onto your mobile phone and into the 21st century, complementing its already extensive portfolio of exciting games."

O2 customers can download the games by connecting to the O2 Wap service, selecting the Game Arcade option and from the Top Games section click on the Game of the Month.
