One of the best things about Google Bookmarks is that you can go back through your web history and add sites you've visited in the past, thus taking the pressure off bookmarking stuff immediately.

Advanced use requires the installation of the Google Toolbar (http://toolbar.google.com), which is OK if you already use it but will feel superfluous if you don't. But, for a Google service, it's unattractive and not interactive enough.
