System Cleaner breaks down cleaning into five main categories, each of which has a number of sub-categories. This approach helps to separate different tasks, but also means that performing all the clean-up tasks requires a lot of clicks. Disk and Registry cleaning is superb and the inclusion of a Registry defragmenter can help to further boost system performance.

A file shredder is a welcome inclusion in the Privacy and Security section, offering a quick-and-easy way to obliterate sensitive files. There's no denying System Cleaner is a very in-depth tool, but the average user may find the range of options overwhelming. This is certainly a worthy tool, one even to rival CCleaner, but it lacks the former's ease of use and the price tag is also a bit discouraging.
